Thai Yoga Bodywork

Thai bodywork can be effective at loosening stuck areas in the body, allowing greater movement and healthier overall function. Treatments are individualized and can range from whole body relaxation, spot specific to release stubborn tension, addressing injury, or a realaxing massage to calm busy minds.

Thai bodywork is just one branch of a traditional healthcare system native to Thailand, one branch on the ‘tree’ of Traditional Thai Medicine. The context of environment, habits and lifestyle, and life stages of the patient will be considered in creating a specialized session.

Lara will guides the recipient through a series of yoga like postures and gentle stretching while palming and thumbing along the body's "sen" (energy lines) and pressure points. This relieves muscular tension, increases circulation and balances the body by unblocking and dispersing energy. Deep tissue massage includes Lara using forearms, feet, palms, knees. Increases range of motion, helping you feel good in your body, become more limber, and balance energy.

  • Online booking is encouraged for scheduling a massage session. You may also call/text Lara at 207-408-3043. Sessions by appointment only.

  • I accept cash, check, venmo @larabelle1, or credit card as forms of payment for your massage. Thank you!

Location:

Good Medicine Collective / West End

231 York Street Portland, Maine 04101

Nestled in the residential West End neighborhood of Portland with a lovely view of the harbor. It includes ample street parking, a cozy massage room, access to their sauna, and much more.

Good Medicine Collective is a group of healing providers embarking on a journey of the heart to recover the wisdom of our bodies, recognize our belonging and remember that WE are the medicine.

‘At Good Medicine, we are exploring village consciousness and what it means to be a healing community. By practicing presence and authenticity, we recover intimacy and connection. By practicing acceptance for the Self and Other, we recover compassion and empathy. By slowing down, we discover our grief, joy, and shared humanity. We use the medicine of ceremony in the form of Good Medicine Circles to remember the wisdom and knowing of these bodies, to recover more of ourselves and thus each other.
